Wing Wai
My Story
My name is Wing Wai, and I am Divisional Director of the Greater China claims team at Britannia P&I, based in Hong Kong. While my professional life is rooted in the maritime industry, my passion for hiking and running only began during the pandemic. Even before that, I had already been connected to the Sailor Society, joining four of their charity hikes in Hong Kong.
Since 2023, I have taken this interest further by stepping into the world of trail running. Over the past few years, I have completed four ultratrail events of 100km distances each, including the HK100, UTMB TransLantau, and Oxfam Trailwalker. In 2024, I began road running, and in 2025 I proudly crossed the finish lines of both the Tokyo Marathon and the Taipei Marathon.
This year, I am honored to run the TCS London Marathon in support of Sailor Society. Their work is close to my heart: providing vital welfare, education, and emergency aid to seafarers and their families worldwide. Life at sea can be isolating and challenging, and Sailor Society ensures that those who dedicate their lives to shipping and trade are not forgotten.
By supporting my marathon journey, you are not only helping me take on 42km through London’s streets — you are also making a real difference to the lives of seafarers and their families. Every donation, big or small, fuels both my run and Sailor Society’s mission.
Thank you for standing with me and with seafarers everywhere. Together, we can help them find strength, hope, and community.
